Underwater Video Production Services in Anatolia
My main expertise field is underwater cinematography. Being an experienced underwater researcher with more than 7500 dives, numerous underwater productions and 25 years of nautical archaeological research, the blue world is an integral part of me.
I have participated in the most important underwater archaeological excavations of the last century. The most important one was the excavation of the 3300 years old Uluburun, a Bronze Age Shipwreck. Uluburun Wreck is the oldest known ship ever excavated. The excavation took a record 11 years and 22,500 dives. The ship is on exhibit at Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archaeology.
Besides the excavations I have participated in, I have directed a number of underwater projects of my own. The most important of them all is 'The Shipwrecks of Anatolia Project'. I started it in 200 and is expected to continue until 2005. My goal is to visually record, preferably in 3D, the more than 150 ancient shipwrecks located in Turkish waters. Thanks to recent developments in computerized imaging technologies, I am able to record, map and study these precious shipwrecks in a fraction of time and cost that is possible otherwise. My diveturkey website will give you detailed information about all my other underwater activities.
Along with these underwater research projects, I produced a number of underwater related television programs. I have an extensive collection of 35 mm., 16 mm., and digital underwater video cameras, lights and accessories. I have developed special techniques and gear for this purpose. I may be limited in assisting a Hollywood style underwater production, but if your project is a documentary, especially a historical one, my underwater experience will definitely help.
